About KURA
How KURA works, and what each label on this site means.
Principles
- Every fact carries its source and verification date.
- Facts past their 90-day recheck date are marked "needs re-verification" and never presented as current.
- The operator's website or timetable is always the primary source. KURA transcribes and adds no claims of its own.
- Nothing is scraped without permission. KURA works from public primary sources and with operators' consent.
- KURA does not take bookings or sell anything. It points you to each business's own contact.
What the labels mean
- Verified
- Confirmed directly with the business, or checked against the business's or operator's own published information, or official open data.
- Listed — not yet confirmed
- Reproduced from a guide or directory listing; KURA has not yet confirmed it with the business.
- Needs re-verification
- Past its recheck date. It stays visible, clearly marked, rather than being hidden.
About translations
The English site (and future language editions) is translated from the Japanese registry. Translations that no person has reviewed yet are labelled "Draft translation" and shown with the original. If the registry text changes, the old translation is withdrawn and the original is shown until it is re-translated. Place and stop names stay in Japanese alongside English, because that is what appears on signs and bus displays.
Machine-readable data
Every page has a Markdown version (index.md) and a JSON version (index.json). Each corridor has a bulk download (JSON and CSV), and /llms.txt describes the site for language models.

Licence
KURA's own content (summaries, translations and verification details) may be reused freely with attribution to "KURA (kurajapan.org)". Each fact's source keeps its own terms (the source_license field in the data). CC BY 4.0
